Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1 March 2025 | Version 1.0

Almace Interactive Private Limited

CIN: U72900CT2020PTC010281

A QUICK NOTE BEFORE YOU READ

We’re a small, independent game studio — just a handful of people who love making games. We don’t have armies of data scientists or advertising departments. This policy is written to be honest and straightforward about what we actually do with your information, not what a large company might do.

The short version: we collect what we need to make our games work, we don’t sell your data, and we try to keep things simple. If you have questions, you can always just email us.

1. WHO WE ARE

Almace Interactive Private Limited is an independent game studio incorporated in India under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U72900CT2020PTC010281). We make and publish mobile and digital games.

Under data protection law, we are the Data Controller (GDPR) and Data Fiduciary (India’s DPDPA 2023) for personal data collected through our games and website.

Registered Address: B37 Market Area, Smriti Nagar, Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India

Privacy & Grievance Contact: privacy@almaceinteractive.com

Website: www.almaceinteractive.com

1.1 Grievance Officer (India)

In accordance with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and, where applicable, the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have designated a Grievance Officer. You may contact us at grievance@almaceinteractive.com for any privacy-related concerns. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 72 hours and resolve them within 30 days, or within such time as required under applicable law.

1.2 What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to all games, apps, and websites we publish under the Almace Interactive name. It covers every user, wherever you are in the world, with region-specific notes where relevant.

2. WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We only collect what we genuinely need to run our games and keep them working well.

2.1 Information You Give Us

  • Account details: If you create an account, we collect your username, email address, and a hashed (encrypted) password. We may also ask for your country and date of birth to apply age-appropriate settings.
  • Support messages: When you contact us for help, we keep a record of that conversation so we can assist you properly.
  • Purchase records: If you make an in-app purchase, we receive confirmation of the transaction from the app store (Google Play or Apple). We do not see or store your card details — the app stores handle payments directly.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, language settings, and a device identifier (such as an Advertising ID) used to help our games run correctly and to show ads if relevant.
  • Gameplay data: Which levels you play, your scores, session length, in-game events, and purchases. This helps us understand what’s working and what isn’t.
  • Technical logs: Crash reports and error logs, so we can find and fix bugs. These are typically held for a short period and then deleted.
  • Approximate location: We infer your country or region from your IP address. We do not track your precise GPS location unless you explicitly enable it for a specific feature.
  • Cookies (website only): Basic session cookies to keep you logged in, and analytics cookies to understand how people use our website. You can manage these through your browser settings.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • App stores: Transaction confirmations and subscription status from Google Play or Apple App Store.
  • Social login: If you choose to sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook, we receive your basic public profile (name, email, profile picture) — only what you authorise during login.
  • Analytics tools: Aggregated or anonymised usage data from tools like Firebase or GameAnalytics that help us understand how players experience our games.

2.4 Children

Our games are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe your child has shared information with us, please email us at privacy@almaceinteractive.com and we will delete it promptly. For users aged 13 to 17, we ask for parental consent and do not use their data for behavioural advertising.

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

3.1 To Run Our Games and Services

  • Creating and managing your account.
  • Saving your game progress and syncing it across your devices.
  • Verifying and restoring in-app purchases.
  • Delivering in-game events, rewards, and notifications.

Legal basis: Performance of a contract with you; Legitimate interests (India: contract performance / consent under DPDPA 2023).

3.2 To Improve Our Games

  • Understanding which features players enjoy and which ones need work.
  • Fixing bugs and crashes.
  • Making decisions about what to build next.

We do this using aggregated or anonymised data wherever possible, so individual players are not identified.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests (improving our Services).

3.3 To Show Advertising

Some of our games are free to play and supported by advertising. We work with third-party ad networks (such as AdMob or Unity Ads) who may use your Advertising ID to show you relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time through your device settings (iOS: Settings > Privacy > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads).

We do not sell your personal data. We share your Advertising ID with ad partners to help them show ads, which some laws may describe as "sharing" — see Section 9 for your opt-out options.

Legal basis: Consent (where required); Legitimate interests (supporting free-to-play games).

3.4 To Communicate With You

  • Responding to support requests.
  • Sending you updates about our games if you have opted in.
  • Important account or service notices (these are not marketing and cannot be opted out of).

Legal basis: Legitimate interests; Consent (for marketing messages).

3.5 To Keep Things Safe

  • Detecting cheating or abuse in multiplayer games.
  • Preventing fraudulent purchases.
  • Keeping our servers and systems secure.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests; Legal obligations.

3.6 To Meet Legal Requirements

We may need to process or share your data to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful government requests, or enforce our Terms of Service.

Legal basis: Legal obligations; Legitimate interests.

4. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where necessary, and only with parties who are required to protect it.

4.1 Our Service Providers

We use a small set of trusted third-party tools to run our business. These include:

  • Cloud hosting: Services like Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services that host our game servers and data.
  • Analytics: Firebase, GameAnalytics, or similar tools that help us understand gameplay patterns.
  • Crash reporting: Tools like Crashlytics or Sentry that tell us when something breaks.
  • Ad networks: AdMob, Unity Ads, or similar platforms that serve ads in our free-to-play games.
  • Customer support: A helpdesk tool (such as Freshdesk) to manage support tickets.
  • Attribution: Tools like Adjust or AppsFlyer that help us understand which campaigns bring in new players.

All service providers process data on our behalf and are contractually required to handle it securely.

4.2 Other Players

If our games include leaderboards, multiplayer, or social features, other players may see your display name, avatar, and scores. You can usually adjust what’s visible through your in-game privacy settings.

4.3 Legal Disclosures

We may share your information with law enforcement or government authorities if required by law or to protect the safety of our users or the public. We will tell you when we can.

4.4 Business Changes

If Almace Interactive is acquired, merged, or restructured, your data may be transferred to the new entity. We will notify you if this happens and your data will continue to be protected under this policy or an equivalent one.

5. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR DATA

We keep your data for as long as it’s needed, and no longer. Here’s a simple breakdown:

  • Account and gameplay data: Kept while your account is active, plus up to 2 years after you delete it (in case of disputes or legal requirements).
  • Purchase records: 7 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting law.
  • Support conversations: 2 years from the date your issue was resolved.
  • Crash and error logs: 60 to 90 days, then deleted automatically.
  • In-game chat (if applicable): 30 days, then auto-deleted.
  • Marketing consent records: Kept for as long as we need to prove you opted in, usually 3 years.
  • Anonymised analytics: Kept indefinitely as they contain no personal information.

When we no longer need your data, we delete or anonymise it. If you request deletion, we will action it as quickly as we can within the constraints of legal retention obligations.

6. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

6.1 Transfers Outside India

We are based in India, but the tools and services we use (like cloud hosting and analytics platforms) may store or process data in other countries. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as contractual protections with our service providers, consistent with the DPDPA 2023.

6.2 For Users in the EEA and UK

Your data may be transferred from the EEA or UK to India or other countries. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission or the UK ICO to protect these transfers. If you would like a copy of our applicable SCCs, please email privacy@almaceinteractive.com.

7. COOKIES

7.1 On Our Website

Our website uses a small number of cookies:

  • Session cookies: Keep you logged in during your visit.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use our site (e.g., which pages are popular). We use tools like Google Analytics for this.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Doing so may affect some website functionality. We respect Do Not Track signals where we can, though not all third-party services on our site support this.

7.2 In Our Mobile Games

Our games use SDKs (small pieces of code) from analytics and advertising partners. These may collect your Advertising ID and gameplay behaviour. You can limit this through your device’s privacy settings as described in Section 3.3.

8. HOW WE USE TECHNOLOGY TO PERSONALISE GAMES

We use basic analytics and algorithms to improve your experience — for example, adjusting game difficulty based on your performance, or surfacing in-game offers that are relevant to where you are in a game. We do not use your data for heavy profiling or automated decisions that have significant effects on you outside the game.

If we ever use automated systems in a way that meaningfully affects you (for example, account suspension for cheating), you can contact us to request a human review at privacy@almaceinteractive.com.

9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

You have rights over your personal data. Here is what you can do and how to do it:

  • Access: Ask us what data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to fix inaccurate information.
  • Deletion: Ask us to delete your data. We will do this where we are not legally required to keep it.
  • Portability: Ask for a copy of your data in a readable format.
  • Object or restrict: Ask us to stop or limit certain types of processing, including marketing.
  • Withdraw consent: If we process data based on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This won’t affect anything we did before you withdrew.
  • Opt out of personalised ads: Adjust your device advertising settings (iOS or Android) or contact us and we will guide you through it.
  • Nominate someone: Under India’s DPDPA 2023, you can nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@almaceinteractive.com. We will respond within 30 days (or sooner where required by law). There is no charge for a reasonable request.

9.1 Marketing Preferences

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email we send. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings. We will always be able to send you essential account or service messages.

10. HOW WE KEEP YOUR DATA SAFE

We take reasonable steps to protect your data. As a small studio, our approach is practical and proportionate:

  • Data in transit is encrypted using HTTPS / TLS.
  • Passwords are stored as hashed values — we never store plain-text passwords.
  • Access to user data is limited to team members who genuinely need it.
  • We use reputable cloud infrastructure providers with their own strong security standards.
  • We review our security practices regularly and update them as we grow.

No system is perfectly secure. If there is ever a data breach that puts your data at risk, we will notify you and any relevant regulator as required by law, as quickly as we can.

You can help keep your account safe by using a strong password and not sharing your login details with anyone. If you think your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

11. SOCIAL FEATURES AND CHAT

11.1 Public Information

If our games include leaderboards or multiplayer features, your display name and scores may be visible to other players. Please choose a username you are comfortable sharing publicly.

11.2 In-Game Chat

If a game includes chat, messages are stored temporarily to deliver them and maintain a short history. We may review flagged messages to enforce our community guidelines. Messages are auto-deleted after 30 days unless flagged for a specific reason.

12. LINKS TO OTHER SERVICES

Our games or website may link to third-party websites or services (for example, app stores, social networks, or support tools). This policy does not cover those services. We encourage you to read their own privacy policies before sharing any information with them.

13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We will update this policy from time to time as our games evolve or laws change. When we make significant changes, we will let you know via an in-app notice, a website update, or an email. Your continued use of our services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy. If you do not agree, you can stop using our services and request deletion of your account.

Past versions of this policy are available on request by emailing privacy@almaceinteractive.com.

14. COMPLAINTS

14.1 Talk to Us First

If you have a concern about how we handle your data, please email us first at privacy@almaceinteractive.com. We will do our best to sort it out quickly and fairly.

14.2 Regulatory Bodies

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to the relevant authority in your country:

  • India: Data Protection Board of India (once constituted under DPDPA 2023); Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY); or a Consumer Forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
